This book is hard to review.

It gave me pieces of a map to myself, that I didn’t have. But less like a conventional map, more like a piece of a city in a snowglobe.

I feel like trying to excerpt it would be a bit like giving you a cup of water to try to explain a river. I don’t agree with everything she says, but I think you should read it. You should really read it. And if you are autistic you should really really really read it.

It is one of my favorite autism books. It is an important story, one that is rarely told and even more rarely listened to, and it is told honestly and well.

It is a very important- and to me, comforting- book.
